DESCRIPTION:Space is limited for this event\, and registration is required.\nThis workshop is focused on understanding and completing a Nevada Durable Power of Attorney of Healthcare\, also known as an Advance Directive. \nWhat to expect: \n\n A brief presentation about the document\, its contents and purpose.\n Time for questions.\n Staff will be on hand to assist with document completion.\n A notary will be present for notarization.\n Participants may have their document uploaded into their Renown electronic medical record and/or submitted to the Nevada Living Will Lockbox on their behalf.\n\nPlease come prepared with names\, addresses\, and phone numbers of those you want to appoint in the document and a photo ID if notarization is desired.\nAll required paperwork will be provided by our staff. \nFor scheduling/cancellation questions\, contact 775-982-RSVP (7787) \nFor questions about workshop content\, please call Jessica Elmore\, LMSW at 775-982-5098 \nLocation/date/time may change based on availability. Together\, we tackle fears about treatment and prognosis\, offering guidance to help you manage overwhelming emotions. Be part of a supportive community that truly understands\, and gain tools to help both you and your family through these challenging times. You don’t have to face cancer alone—let’s support each other every step of the way. As one survivor said\, “It’s about discovering who you are and what brings you joy.” \nDuring the workshop you can expect to learn about the Mind-Body connection (the relationship between your thoughts and physical well-being) and how to use it to: \n– Uncover your questions and concerns \n– Improve overall energy\, mood and well-being \n– Learn how to tolerate treatment better \n– Contribute to a reduction in risk of recurrence \nEvery Monday from 10am-11am \nVirtual attendance is available.
